Tax law in India changes by the week — new notifications, new circulars, new judgments. The Karneeti column, started in 2013 in Lokmat, is a small weekly effort to take one such update at a time and explain it in plain language.
Thirteen years and 660 editions later, the format is the same: one current question, one clear answer, written for taxpayers rather than for experts. The articles are written in a simple question-and-answer style so anyone — a small business owner, a CA student, or a fellow practitioner — can follow along.
